On September 3rd a cab catch on fire outside the offices of Dc comics on Broadway. The cab was parked at the corner of 53rd st and 7th ave, (very close to Dc Comics!) when a small fire erupted in the car at about 9:30 Am. The fire spread to the gas tank causing the vehicle to explode. No one was injured, and the firefighters were able to put the fire out in about 20 minutes. The NY fire marshal has yet to determine the causes of the fire , while a NYPD spokeswoman said later that the department believes the explosion was not terror related (WHEW!)
